Album of the week
Look to the Sky is the second solo album from James Iha, released on March 14, 2012 in Japan, and released globally the following September. It featured many guest collaborations, including Karen O and Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Sara Quin (Tegan and Sara), Nathan Larson (Shudder To Think), Nina Persson (The Cardigans), Tom Verlaine (Television) and Mike Garson. "To Who Knows Where" acted as the lead single supporting the international release. The album received positive critical reviews, with Chicago Sun-Times writing "Iha shows up with this well-written, beautifully played set as a gentle reminder of his talent.".
Song of the day
"Now (And Then)" is a song from Billy Corgan's debut solo studio album, TheFutureEmbrace.
“ | Then Bon [producer] said he really loved the song, and thought it was the best thing we'd worked on. He said, "Mind if I fuck it up for you?" So then I went away, came back and thought what Bon had done was really beautiful. Then the whole song clicked for me. | ” |

- ...that the Siamese Dream booklet was supposed to be by an outsider artist, but after disagreements with the label, Corgan was forced to step in at the last minute? On the day after their wedding, he and his wife scrambled to put something together, using photos of strangers and Corgan's family with lyrics handwritten on top.
