Live at Kawasaki 2.24.92 is a live album by The Smashing Pumpkins documenting the February 24, 1992 show in Kawasaki, Japan. This was the first installment of the archival series.[1] It shipped as a purple swirled double LP on 180 gram vinyl, with limited quantities signed by Billy Corgan. The unreleased audio was sourced directly from the soundboard. The Blue Öyster Cult cover "Godzilla" was cut from the release, likely for licensing issues.
During the Gish-aversary event on May 29, 2021, Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin announced Live at Kawasaki (then known as Live in Japan – 1992), which later went on sale exclusively through the Madame ZuZu's website for 24 hours and quickly sold out. Due to a worldwide shortage in vinyl manufacturing, units did not ship until late December 2021.
