"Screaming" is an early song by The Smashing Pumpkins. It was recorded during the fall 1988 sessions at Billy Corgan's father's home studio, before D'arcy Wretzky and Jimmy Chamberlin joined the band. The studio recording has never surfaced, however, and it was performed only once on August 10, 1988 at The Avalon, which was D'arcy's first show.

LyricsEdit

what's all this screaming about?
when you don't know what you're missing
behind every doubt
stands someone who will listen
yeah, yeah

lock up all your doors
for a place in a decision
did you honestly
leave it nothing to consider

nothing can match this sinking feeling
(nothing can match this sinking feeling)
nothing can match this sinking feeling
(nothing can match this sinking feeling)

what's all this screaming about?
when you don't know what you're missing
yeah, did you honestly
leave it nothing to consider

nothing can match this sinking feeling
(nothing can match this sinking feeling)
nothing can match this sinking feeling
(nothing can match this sinking feeling)
