BC: James, how you feelin’ tonight?
Iha: I feel good. I feel good. How are you doin’?
BC: I’m rockin’ the supermoon.
Iha: Alright. I don’t know what that means but it’s good.
The Tide Is High (tease)
BC: (singing) The tide is high and I’m movin’ on.
Iha: Yeah. (laughing) What is –- oh yeah. Who builds a venue right here? Heh.
BC: First off, let me welcome everybody to the rock show, thank you so much for being with us tonight. And to the brave souls down here, you guys are awesome!
Iha: You guys are super awesome, we appreciate it.
BC: You know, usually, you know, when you get a good seat, you’re up there but it’s still a good seat. You’re lookin’ down, you’re saying, “Man, I’d really wanna be down there,” they’re, heh, they’re up there lookin’ down going, “Fuck that,” heh. “Fuck the ocean shit.” So thank you so much for rockin’ with us. ‘Member in the Thirty-three video when you were in the rowboat? Echo Park, you remember.
Iha: I don’t. I don’t remember.
BC: Was that you?!
Iha: I don’t know.
BC: Were you using a body double back then? That would be funny.
Iha: Sure, I don’t know.
BC: It turns out I was arguing with a body double the whole time, it wasn’t you!
Iha: Heh heh heh! Could be.
BC: Let us thank the Interpols.
Iha: Interpol. Shout out to New York.
BC: Such a great band, thank you guys for being on this incredible tour with us...
Iha: They’re bringin’ the darkness.
BC: ...and of course Rival Sons, I hope you got to see them play at the beginning, what an amazing, amazing band. We’re so honored to play with these great bands. We’re very humbled, so we can only say thank you to them and of course thank you to you for about 36 years of the Smashing Pumpkins.
Iha: Oh my god.
BC: You know, right about now, 30 years ago, you were rockin’ some Siamese Dream. Do you remember that, do you remember the album Siamese Dream, do you remember that album?
Iha: Uh huh. Yeah, sure.
BC: You remember? Come on, you remember?
Iha: Yeah, yeah, that’s uh, the second album...
BC: Got some good jams.
Iha: ...the third album, right? Maybe it was an EP.
BC: So I love this part of the show because we stop for a second just to say thank you, appreciate you, love you. Thank you for bringing us back to Waterworld...theme park. You know when you go to Universal and the.... You know, you live out there, heh heh heh heh heh. But uh, I love this part of the show because we dedicate this next song to everybody here, we wrote this song around 1994. Your mind was so ablaze with Siamese Dream, you thought how could we top this...fuzz opus? This lament of loss.
Iha: I don’t remember, heh.

BC: James, if I could tie my pants, I would tell you what I wanna do now.
Iha: Heh. Anything can happen at a rock show, yeah.
BC: You know it’s illegal to expose yourself here. I don’t wanna end up like Jim...Morrison.
Iha: Alright, well, don’t worry, we’ll be rockin’ -– rockin’ any second.
Five to One (tease - Jeff)
Iha: What do you guys wanna talk about? I don’t care, talk about anything. (Jeff is doodling) Stop talkin’.... Whatchu playin’, Jeff? You wanna play something for the audience? We got time. We got time here. Alright, alright, here we go, this is gonna be it--
BC: James, these lovely people, they’ve had a long day, they’re standing in water.
Iha: I know, they wanna rock.
BC: Do you think –- honest...
Iha: No more chit chat.
BC: ...don’t BS me, bro, don’t BS me bro -– do you think these lovely people still wanna rock?
Iha: (high pitched) Yeah, I think so, I think so.
BC: You’re a keen observer of the rock, do these people still wanna rock?
Iha: (normal voice) It’s about...
BC: We can’t hear you!
Iha: ...seven, seven point seven?
BC: (high pitched) We can’t hear you people!
Iha: Alright, let’s do it.
