BC: (dumbass voice) “Hey man, I just wanted to get on stage, man, what’s the big deal, man, what’s the hassle, I just wanna get on stage and say hello, man, I got my Zero shirt on, yeah, I just wanna say hello, I don’t understand, man, security’s really hassling me, man, this is stupid!”
Iha: I believe you.
BC: (dumbass voice) “I just got back from the festival, man, where we slept out for two months, man, and stayed out in the techno tent and did ecstasy for two weeks, man, and I just wanna get on stage.”
Iha: I believe you’ll have to put that in the German vernacular then. Alright! That was pretty crazy. Woo! Heh heh. How is everybody? Rockin’? [unintelligible] I would like to make a quick introduction of the band. On the piano, Mr. Mike Garson. Heh heh! Awesome. That’s too big, Garson.
BC: Heh. Do not leave your designated area, heh heh heh.
Iha: On the other keyboards, crazy keyboards, Mr. Chris Holmes! (screams)
BC: He’s the son - did you know he’s the son of John Holmes? The porno star.
Iha: Uh, I didn’t know him.
BC: That’s why he’s getting so many chicks on this tour.
Iha: Ah. On the bass (pronounced like the fish) guitar, all the way from Canada, Montreal, Ms. Melissa Auf der Maur! Woo!
BC: Hey. Aren’t you in that band, Hole? Heh, sometimes.
Iha: [unintelligible]. On the drums, back in action, the monster o’ trouble, Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin. Do you - do you like this introduction thing, is this cool or is this really uncool? It’s cool, okay. On lead vocals and guitar, Mr. Billy Corgan, rockin’ the stage.
Cherub Rock (abandoned - Jimmy plays the opening drum riff twice)
Iha: And I am James. Let’s rock.
BC: Wait. Hold on. On the wicked lead Zlatko guitar, Mr. James Iha.
Cherub Rock
BC: Thank you very much, thank you very much, thank you very much.
[encore break]
Iha: Thank you.
BC: Heh heh, thank you. Before we play our last song tonight, we’d like to say thank you to everybody for coming tonight, it means a lot to us, thank you very much. And we’d like to thank our fans, uh, people who’ve been with us for ten years, for the last ten years, thank you for a great ten years. Thank you very much. We have a lot of respect for the people who have been fans for a long time and of course we have respect for anybody who likes us. Even if it’s just for that one song - maybe it’s this song. So thank you, god bless you and we say love you very much, thank you.
1979 (acoustic, Jimmy plays guitar)
Iha: Thanks.
