BC: Thank you. Who here speaks English? Alright. There’s a man over here with a sign...says “I want to play 1979 with you.” Would someone please tell this nice gentleman in German, “No. No, nein, no, not gonna happen.” Those fun days are over. You can put your sign down now. Thank you very much, it’s nice to be here with you. Does anyone remember the last time the Smashing Pumpkins played Munich? Alright. What year was that? Heh heh. 2000? Yes. Well, as you can see, a lot of our old fans died, ‘cause they’re not here. They must’ve died or else they’d be here. But I’ll say this before I play this next song...for those of you who speak English. Number one: the Smashing Pumpkins are never breaking up again. That’s a good thing. Number two: no matter how lame music gets, we are not gonna stop being difficult, adventuresome, provocative or god forbid, musicians. We’re actually gonna play music. The whole fake world out there can kiss my fucking ass. I thought things were messed up in the ‘90s, I can’t believe how messed up they are now. And that’s not the fans’ fault. When I was a younger man, I used to blame the fans, I don’t blame the fans anymore, I blame the bands for being fuckin’ lame. So we’re not gonna be lame, we’re not gonna break up, we’re gonna keep kickin’ your ass as long as you’ll let us so thank you very much. Now please, please, let’s have a moment of silence for all the dead Smashing Pumpkins fans that aren’t here. Shhh, moment of silence, shhh, shhhh, shhhh. You can hear the ghost, shhh.
1979 (Billy solo acoustic)
(BC immediately after "lamented and assured": (stops playing) Oops. (starts guitar again, singing) Lights and towns.... (stops playing again, speaking) Just 'cause we're never gonna break up doesn't mean I'm not gonna mistake [sic]. (starts guitar again, singing) Lights, heh, below, and towns below.... (mumbles a couple of lines) La la la, we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope. (song continues to end))

Circle goes ‘round, as the circle goes ‘round, as the circle goes ‘round, circle goes ‘round, goes ‘round, goes ‘round, goes, heh, skip to my lou.)
