"The Joker" is a cover song by The Smashing Pumpkins of the 1973 hit by Steve Miller Band. Versions are included on the Mashed Potatoes compilation album and on the 2012 reissue bonus DVD of Pisces Iscariot.
"If there's any song in the world that's Jimmy's song, it's this one", said singer Billy Corgan in a 1992 live performance of the song.
