Iha: Thank you guys so much. How are you guys doin’? Are you having a reasonable time, New Jersey? Alright.
BC: (New Jersey accent) James, how you doin’?
Iha: I’m great. I’m feelin’ great. A beautiful night. Beautiful night in Jersey. There’s not too many, uh, swarming insects onstage. Uh, yeah, it’s great, how you doin’?
BC: I’m doin’ alright.
Iha: Alright, alright. What do you wanna -– what do you wanna talk about?
BC: I know I should be depressed and miserable but I’m not.
Iha: It’s the New Jersey crowd.
BC: Hahahaha. Space cowboy?
Iha: Yes. Yes, vampiric man?
The Joker (tease, acoustic - Billy)
BC: That’s your theme song.
Iha: (singing) Some people call me Maurice. I don’t know the rest of the words.
BC: You only’ve heard the song about seven thousand times.
Iha: I know, I know, but...heh.
BC: Anyway, thank you so much for being with us on this beautiful evening. Of course, this is the site where we had our 30th anniversary show.
Iha: Oh, was it?
BC: [unintelligible].
Iha: I remember that.
BC: So I don’t wanna go -– you know, maybe I’m taking a chance here, but this is kind of our 35th anniversary show.
Iha: Hahahaha! Holy smokes.
BC: Do you remember 35 years ago?
Iha: I do not. I do not. Seems like an awful long time ago.
BC: I really enjoy this part of the show because we just take a moment to stop and thank everyone for 35 plus years of the Smashing Pumpkins. And of course, we want to thank those who have been with us the entire length of the journey, as crazy as you are. But to the new fans, to the young fans: welcome, we appreciate you, we love you and we respect you. And of course, we want to say thanks to uh, well...?
Iha: Rival Sons, haha. And Interpol. All cool guys.
BC: Every night I dedicate this song -– you might know this song -– to everybody that’s here, I hope this song resonates with you, and of course we wanna give a little shoutout to the Walters family that’s here tonight, celebrating Josie. Plus Bill Senior –- Bill Senior’s up there somewhere. You knew him. Heh heh heh. You knew Bill Senior.
Iha: Hell of a guy. Hell of a guy. Was very nice to me.
BC: Back when he was runnin’ drugs and guns, that’s when you knew my dad.
Iha: He was always nice to me.
BC: He had the mustache, he had the long hair. Anyway, we dedicate this next song to you, you might know it, it’s from 1994, it’s a little song we like to call Tonight, Tonight.

Iha: (high pitched) Alright! (normal voice) Well, that was pretty good.

BC: (singing) ‘Cause in the end I’m gonna set you free.
Iha: What was he playing?
BC: (singing) Don’t you know you’ll be in misery. (speaking) They call me...?
