"Rock On" is a cover of David Essex's 1973 hit performed by The Smashing Pumpkins on Judas O. The song was recorded live and is the only known Smashing Pumpkins recording to feature bassist Melissa Auf der Maur.[1] The recording took place at a rehearsal show on April 6, 2000 at the Riviera Theater in Chicago[2] and features lyrical interpolations from Van Halen's "And the Cradle Will Rock..." and "Everybody Wants Some!!"
