Matt Walker is an American drummer known for working with Filter, The Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Morrissey, as well as being the regular fill-in to Butch Vig from Garbage on some of their tours.

Filter toured with The Smashing Pumpkins during the European leg of the Infinite Sadness tour. When Jimmy Chamberlin was fired from the Pumpkins for drug abuse, Walker was hired to replace him. He finished the tour, playing with the band from August 1996 until October 1997. He also provided drumming for several Adore songs including "To Sheila", "Ava Adore", "Daphne Descends", "Tear", "The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete", "Annie-Dog" and "Behold! the Night Mare", along with the Grammy-winning song "The End Is the Beginning Is the End". Walker was never appointed as a full-time drummer for The Smashing Pumpkins.

In 2005, Walker provided programming for Billy Corgan's debut solo album, TheFutureEmbrace, and was the drummer for TheFutureEmbrace tour.
