BC: [cuts in] That’s what you sound like. I sound like [unintelligible word that sounds like “gruel”], heh heh. You havin’ a good time? How many old school, uh, Pumpkins fans do we have up in here? (crowd cheers) Let me rephrase that. How many Pumpkins fans do we have here that are old? (to Mike) Heh, you’re young. Like to introduce the band: Nicole over here. On guitar, Jeff.
Bridge of Sighs (tease - Jeff)
BC: On the drums, Mike Byrne. Nicky Beats.
Bridge of Sighs (tease - Jeff)
BC: How many, uh, how many fans do we have in here that are seeing the band for the first time? It’s gonna be hard to get you all in my room. That’s what bands do, like, they party after the show.
Nicole: That’s amazing.
BC: Lemme ask you a question. I’ma ask you a question: everywhere I go here in Missoula, I see “Go Griz.” Is that some kind of a bondage thing?
Nicole: Grizzly bear.
BC: Kind of a weird bondage thing, “Griz”, what is Griz?
Nicole: John, turn me up. Like grizzly bear?
BC: A football? You guys rank like number one or what? (crowd murmurs)
Jeff: No, he’s the damage.
BC: You know why you guys ever ranked number one? ‘Cause you don’t let your coaches rape your players. (crowd cheers)
Jeff: Well done.
BC: Go Griz.
Jeff: [2-3 unintelligible words].
BC: Go Griz. After the show, we’re gonna Go Griz! Heh heh. (to Mike) You’re into that, right? (gestures that Mike should hit drum, Mike immediately hits snare) Cowbell. (Mike quickly hits cowbell 7-8 times) There you go.
Bridge of Sighs (tease - Jeff)
BC: Okay. We’re gonna kick it down here for a second. I could tell that’s what you want. For those of you high, this will work for you. This is a song called Song for a Son.
