The Late 1998 Sadlands sessions included acoustic demos for the Machina/The Machines of God album, recorded at Billy Corgan's home. The tape includes two lyrically different versions of "Blue Skies Bring Tears", one of which contains the lyrics from the arrangement of the song performed during The Arising! tour in April 1999. "Soot and Stars", "Satellites" and "Joy" were leaked on the Adore Demos II bootleg, but sound as if they date from this period, with "Soot and Stars" being slated for the Machina reissue.[1] Likewise, "Lover" and "Let Me Give the World to You" probably date from this time as they sound similar to the rest of the Machina acoustic demos.
