2012 Intro
> Quasar
> Panopticon
The Celestials
Violet Rays
BC: Thank you very much, thank you, thank you.
My Love Is Winter
One Diamond, One Heart
Pinwheels
BC: Thank you, thank you so much. Thank you for such a warm reception, thank you, honestly, thank you. As those of you who know, as those of you--wait. As those of you who follow Jeff’s Twitter account know--that’s Shredder dot com.
Jeff: Hockey season is canceled.
BC: Haha! This is not a political show, this is a fun time show. Good times. They like their good times up here. Uh, we play the album first, Oceania, which we’re about halfway through at this moment. We’re flipping the album over. Side B. And then we get around to playing a few of those classics, those dusties. If we feel like it! It’s one of those relationships, it’s a give and take. ... I think it’s gonna be a good night, okay. I do have a finicky reputation. Did you know that? I’m a little finicky. But I’m feeling good, this feels good, this is a good relationship we got going here. I like it. So this song, which is the title track to our album Oceania...uh, might be a special note for those of you who are slightly intoxicated or on some other illicit substance. Hahaha. Hahaha, hahahaha. I love how this lady’s pimpin’ her friend out, she’s like “Him, right there.” So this is the title track, Oceania.
Oceania
Pale Horse
The Chimera
Glissandra
> Inkless
Wildflower
Space Oddity
> X.Y.U.
Disarm
Tonite Reprise
> Tonight, Tonight
> Bullet with Butterfly Wings
BC: Thank you, thank you so much. Is it Saturday night? Party. You guys doin’ alright up there? Alright, that’s what I wanna hear. Haha. I see you’re rockin’, that’s good. That man is rockin’ right there, that’s what I wanna see: sunglasses, tussled hair, grunge beard...
Nicole: All sweaty.
BC: ...rockin’! I love it. I see ya. Thank you, thank you. It’s my partner right here, Jeff Water. H2O.
Jeff: Uh, no, mine--no, mine’s vodka. It is vodka. We don’t believe in water.
Nicole: We are that rock and roll. Mine’s vodka too.
BC: Nicole?
Nicole: Yeah.
BC: You wanna talk about your argument? Your street argument?
Nicole: Oh hell no.
BC: Hahaha. Nicole got in an argument on the street today.
Nicole: I got into a fight today. A fistfight--no, I didn’t get into a fistfight.
BC: No violence though, just a verbal thing, right?
Nicole: I--I got into a little...verbal disagreement.
Jeff: I’d like to hear. I haven’t heard it, I’d like to hear.
Nicole: No, you don’t wanna hear right now.
Jeff: Come on, come on.
Nicole: It--it had to do with bible beaters, let’s just say that. Just a little disagreement.
BC: Personally, I don’t like to argue. (Jeff laughs loudly off mic) I’m not big on arguing.
Nicole: What do you like to do then?
BC: Well, I’m always right so there’s nothing to argue about. That’s the way I look at it. They said that this band could not continue, here we are. They said I’d lost my mind and they were right. But...it’s worked out pretty good. The best is like, when I get the dude on the street who’s like, “Don’t be so sad, man.” And I’m like, “I live in a big house because of sadness. Okay? Sadness has worked out pretty good.” And it’s uh, thanks to you for identifying with that pain that we can continue.
Bridge of Sighs (tease - Jeff plays the intro for a few seconds)
BC: Now, we’ve only been in the Twin Cities for today, we flew in from Chicago, my hometown. I think they got a rivalry with the Sox or something...and the Bears. I--
Jeff: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
BC: Hey wait, Jeff, last I checked, the Vikings were unbeaten, right?
Jeff: Haha!
BC: Donté Stallworth...to Randy Moss, right? Hahahaha. I know I’m evil, it’s okay. It’s worked out pretty good. Um, anyway...hahahaha. We hope you’re having fun, we hope you have a safe evening. No one cheers for safety, safety’s just not sexy.
Nicole: Safety first. Safety first--safety’s very sexy.
BC: Let’s have a cheer for safety.
Nicole: Safety, safety....
BC: Okay so, just before we continue real quick, I’ve only been here this afternoon but I noticed two things. A lot of drinking. Just walking around, a lot of people drinking, is that--can you drink on the street? I saw a lot of drinking. And a lot of smoking. But you know when you live in the winter eight months a year, you gotta do something. You gotta relieve the pain somehow.
Nicole: I know, I lived in Massachusetts my whole....
BC: And they got the Vikings to cheer for.
Nicole: [unintelligible]
BC: Minnesota North Stars, they still play, right?
Jeff: Mike Modano.
BC: Oh ho ho! Sorry, I’m an evil sports fan. The best is when people give me shit for being a sports fan, as if it’s anti-alternative. Like I give a fuck. Hahahaha. Thank you so much for coming tonight, we hope you have fun. We’d like to continue the proceedings with a song I wrote about my father, Bill Senior. You know my father gets really offended when people come up to him and say “You look just like your son.”
Nicole: They say “No, my son looks like me.”
BC: He said “My son looks like me.” This is for my dad, it is called Song for a Son.
A Song for a Son
Zero
> Cherub Rock
[encore break]
Mayonaise
BC: Thank you so much. Well, we hope you had fun.
Ava Adore
(Billy begins Black Diamond guitar intro)
BC: This is a song called--called Black Diamond by Kiss. And I must give credit ‘cause I know the Replacements cover this song.
Black Diamond
