The tour served as a break from recording Machina. Fittingly, numerous Machina-era songs were debuted. The April 10 date alone saw the live debuts of "Glass' Theme", "The Imploding Voice" (then known as "Virex"), "Dross", "Speed Kills", "Blue Skies Bring Tears", "Stand Inside Your Love", "Glass and the Ghost Children", "Wound", "Home", and "With Every Light". The 1990 song "La Dolly Vita" was also debuted, although Corgan had once played it solo for an interview in 1991. "I Am One" was performed for the first time by the band since 1994.
With drummer Jimmy Chamberlin now back with the band full-time, the band concluded the show with "Geek U.S.A." James Iha explained to the crowd, "While Jimmy was away he was an African explorer, race car driver, and a roughneck on an oil rig. He has become a renaissance man and he's only doing this one show with us and then he goes back to Egypt to explore the great pyramids."
The Arising! tour would end up being the final dates with all four original members. At its conclusion, bassist D'arcy Wretzky would leave the band, and consequently the Machina concept album largely re-invented from scratch.
