Spun was released to DVD on July 22, 2003! It is a 2002 black comedy crime drama film directed by Jonas Åkerlund. The original music for the film was written by Billy Corgan, performed by Djali Zwan – the acoustic incarnation of Zwan. Corgan also has a brief cameo in the film, acting as a doctor.

A standalone soundtrack has never been released, though some bootlegs have been made. In 2021, Corgan indicated he now owns the rights to the songs and intends to eventually release a properly mixed version of the soundtrack.

Director Jonas Åkerlund has also worked with The Smashing Pumpkins as the director of the music videos for "The Everlasting Gaze" and "Try, Try, Try". The latter explores similar dark themes to Spun, and was adapted from Åkerlund's short film, "Try".
