The Skyman soundtrack released digitally July 7, 2020! Skyman is a 2019 science fiction-found footage horror film written and directed by Daniel Myrick. The soundtrack features two original songs co-written by Billy Corgan in collaboration with Don Miggs and Greg Hansen.
Miggs and Corgan wrote five songs together for the film at Migg's studio in Los Angeles. The roughly two and a half hour session yielded four recordings, two of which made the film. "Time Will Melt Us" was released separately as a single on July 30 and features vocals by Corgan, while the fourth track remains unreleased.
Don Miggs (of the pop/rock band Miggs) has also worked with John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Boyz II Men, Paul Anka, Tyga, among others. He wrote of working with Corgan:
"Billy is one of the most gifted, incredible artists of our generation … I’ve written with some big people. But I knew that the most talented guy I was ever in a room with was Billy Corgan. He’s humble. But also, he’s an encyclopedia, knows exactly what he wants to do, and we had the visuals in our head ... I don’t think we needed to see [the film] to know where we were going with it."
