July 30, 2016 saw Jimmy Chamberlin join Jane's Addiction for the last song of their set at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. As he usually does for the song, Jane's drummer Stephen Perkins plays bongos and a kettle drum at the front of the stage and Chamberlin uses his drumkit. Dave Navarro's guitar tech joins them for the song as well.

(Stephen Perkins walks up to Perry Farrell and whispers in his ear but the mic picks it up)
Perkins: We got Jimmy Chamberlin.
Farrell: Oh yeah? Is that so? Jimmy who? Jimmy who? Who's that, Jimmy who? (holding mic out to Perkins)
Perkins: Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin on drums!
Farrell: From where? From where?
Perkins: From the band The Smashing Pumpkins!
Farrell: Where they from, where they from? (jumps onto drum riser and holds mic out to Jimmy)
Jimmy: Gay Paree.
Farrell: Chicago! Jimmy Chamberlin! Smashing Pumpkins from Chicago! And we are from Los Angeles, we are [2-3 unintelligible words].

Farrell: We love you, Chicago! We love you!
