M.O.H.
The Camera Eye
BC: Thank you very much, thank you. Very nice to be back here for the thousandth time, heh heh. Anybody thirsty over there? Um, yes, it’s the home of [unintelligible]. How y’all doin’, you alright? I’d like to think the opening bands: Crimea, Henson and Doris. Just kidding: Crimea and Doris Henson.
Sorrows in Blue
DIA
To Love Somebody
Bit 7
Johanna
Now and Then
BC: Thank you. That’s the end of the show. ... This is normally the part of the show where I just let people scream stupid things, but.... Figured get it out of your system there. This isn’t even a state, I can’t recognize what you’re saying. This is just a District. You guys even vote? I mean... I’m just joshing. Hey, I’m shar mary’s - I’m sure our mayor smokes crack too. I’m sure when no one’s around, he’s...hittin’ the, hittin’ the pipe. Is that - is that, heh, is Marion Barry still your mayor? You know he’s a congressman now, right? He’s comin’ back though! He’s gonna be your mayor again someday. He’s gonna clean this place up. Heh heh. Heh heh. I love when I make myself laugh. This is a song by, um, by a great man.
Guy in crowd: AC/DC!
BC: Gee, you’ve been on the internet. There’s this new thing called the internet, you can go on and you can tell what I’m going to do before we do it and then you can shout it out early in the show so everyone can go, “Yeah, he’s been on the internet.” You got that, you got that AOL dialup? You get that.... Yeah. You’re probably like Gish607. Or better, or better yet, you’re like Iha123.
Sittin’ on Top of the World
All Things Change
BC: Nice. We can change the world. Once President Clinton comes into office.... Heh heh. Oh, I’m making myself laugh now. She’s gonna change stuff. Yes, heh heh. Ahhhh...I love this city. Again, thank you very much for coming, it’s always good to see you.
I’m a King Bee (abandoned - Billy read setlist wrong)
BC: Uh oh. You’re fired. Oh, wrong song, sorry. I’m fired.
Jingle Bells (tease)
Walking Shade
I’m a King Bee / Turning Japanese / Today / Star Spangled Banner
It’s a Long Way to the Top
BC: Thank you. Yes, it’s a [unintelligible].
[encore break]
Strayz (Billy solo karaoke)
Guy in crowd: I love you!
BC: Thank you, I love you too.
Bit 4
(BC: Thank you very much. Can you hear me? Thank you! There are drugs in this box. Anyhow, we’ve had a very nice time. We hope you’ve had a nice time too. We hope that all of you above the age of 18 go home and have protected sex. With someone that you love. Or someones that you love. Because it is a new, uh, era and everyone just loves everyone.)
> A100
[bow]
BC: Thank you. Alright, that is the end of the show. Heh heh heh. Yeah. Heh heh. Yeah. I know. If you want me to do more music, it’s like ten extra bucks. No no, ten dollars for each person. Heh heh. For like 60 seconds, so...heh heh. Can we put the house lights on for a second? Is that possible? Who’s in charge here?
Guy in crowd: YOU!
BC: Nah, I stopped being in charge about ten years ago. She’s in charge, heh heh. That girl right there, she’s in charge. (laughing) She’s runnin’ this town. I just want to thank you for, uh, being so supportive and, uh, for believing in me, I appreciate it, it’s, uh.... (crowd cheers) ... Alright, stop it. I was saying, uh, while we were waiting to see if we’d get on or, uh.... Actually, I tried for a while not to do encores and everyone got mad, so.... Heh heh. Said you have to do it, but, uh, there’s something about people chanting “Billy” that sounds like Children of the Corn, it always scares me. Always frightens me, but again, thank you for believing in me, um, it’s, uh, an interesting time in our little world of music, uh, I’m not sure I like it, but, um, whatever. Whatever. I seem to remember a time around 1987 where music sucked pretty bad too and, uh.... ‘Cause of 1987 and then about 1990 and things started rocking and then.... But uh, more than anything, more than anything, I just wanna say that, um...uhhhh....no, it’s, it’s more than love. It’s more than love, heh heh. Little less than sex, little more than love. Now what I want to say is that, um, you make me feel very supported and, uh, and make me want to keep making music. Alright, I would like to offer you in gratitude, um, I’ve only - I’ve only done this once before and it was about six months ago. Um...this friend of mine taught me, uh, to sing my prayers, so I’d like to sing my prayer for you if that’s okay. And before I do, I’d just to say I, I believe in god but I believe in a god that does not exclude anyone depending on what they believe in. Uh, I was - I was raised a Christian, I was raised a Christian but I-I recognize and believe and support and honor all religions, so...but this is, this is a, so, don’t get all offended because it’s a Christian prayer, okay? Gotta pick one. I don’t want to sing you some quasi-PC prayer where no one gets offended, alright. Okay, so...ah, never mind, fuck it. Alright, ahem.
Hail Mary (Billy solo a capella)
