{{Social media/Instagram|The music video for "Stand Inside Your Love" is a tribute to the play Salomé by Oscar Wilde. The video begins with the Wilde quote "The mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death". Billy Corgan created the video's look together with English director W.I.Z. (@wizfilmmaker) under the heavy influence of original Salomé illustrations by Aubrey Beardsley. The nipple-rubbing fat man sitting on the throne is played by Ken Davitian, better known for his role as Azamat Bagatov in the movie Borat. Corgan's then-girlfriend Yelena Yemchuk played the main character in the video. The video was filmed in Santa Clara, California in December 1999.

As with the rest of the album, the song featured Smashing Pumpkins drummer Matt Walker, as well as cellist Eric Remschneider (who arranged/played the cello for "Disarm", "Soma" and "The Bells").


Director W.I.Z. said of the video and working with Corgan: "Billy has this great poetic ability to sort of shed light on the tragedies of existence. He seems to be someone who's trying to recondition the heart, to reconfigure tragedy as something we need to embrace and elevate as a proof positive of life." He added that "The Smashing Pumpkins have a great sophistication and cinematic literacy and sense of style. It was a very rewarding experience working with them."
Released as a 4-track single on CD and on 12" vinyl, it featured the bonus studio tracks "Falling", "My Advice" and "Take Care", and as a 2-track promo single where the other track is a 12-second call out hook. Both versions of the single have the same cover photo. There is also an extended promo version of the single called "Be Strong Now (With Intro)" lasting 3:35.


"Stand Inside Your Love" went on to win the Most Visionary Video award at the 2000 VH1 Fashion Awards.
The song has been performed roughly 21 times, first on January 15, 1998 at the Viper Room which was James Iha's debut show as a solo artist, opening up for a solo set by Billy Corgan. Iha and Corgan would play the song together on February 19, 2000 at the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina – a show billed as The Smashing Pumpkins that probably wouldn't have included "Be Strong Now" except that Jimmy Chamberlin was unable to perform after being stung by a jellyfish in Florida.
