He played drums on "Blew Away" and produced "Starla" and "Plume" for Pisces Iscariot, as well as "Believe", "...Said Sadly" and "The Boy" with James Iha. He guested at many shows over the years, such as some of 1996's Infinite Sadness tour, when he drummed on "1979" with Jimmy Chamberlin on guitar, and sang on various other songs. 2007's Zeitgeist was recorded in Brown's home studio. At least 300 Smashing Pumpkins songs were recorded there in demo format, including original versions of songs heard on Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. | |||
Brown wrote for, drummed, recorded, and produced for his band Catherine until 1998. During some of this time he was married to D'arcy Wretzky, who contributed vocals to their final album.
