Song by Tinted Windows
Length3:43
Songwriter(s)James Iha
Producer(s)James Iha, Adam Schlesinger

"Back With You" is a song by James Iha's side project, Tinted Windows. It was one of two songs on the eponymous debut album written by Iha, the other being "Cha Cha". He also contributes guitar and backing vocals.

Poprock Record opined that "James Iha gets a nice slow Cheap Trick grind going" on "Back With You",[1] while Review Fix praised his craftsmanship and declared the song as among the most respectable on the album.[2]

A music video was released on September 22, 2009, filmed entirely on a Flip Video camera, which was a popular handheld video camera at the time, before smartphones took over the market.

Lyrics[edit | edit source]

Searching all over
Searching the world it's true
Turning over
Every stone for news
Just to get back
Back with you
Time won't heal me
I'm trying to make to
Time won't heal me
And it won't be too soon
Just to get back
Back with you
Just to get back
Back with you
And when you call my name
It's like a light out of the blue
And it's a game we play
Just for us, just for two
And there's a song that plays
You don't know
What I've been through
What I've been through
Now that I found you
Right across the room
You walk on over
The stars come into view
Just to get back
Back with you
Just to get back
Just to get back
Back with you
Just to get back
Just to get back
Back with you
And when you call my name
It's like a light out of the blue
And it's a game we play
Just for us, just for two
And there's a song that plays
You don't know
What I've been through
What I've been through
To get back with you
Back with you
