666
666 is a non-commercial video bootleg album of The Smashing Pumpkins. The film documents live rehearsals for Mellon Collie in Pumpkinland and was intended for a MTV rockumentary. Reportedly the MTV cameraman was fired and took all of tapes with them, making only 15 copies.[1] With the lack of a proper production, the quality of 666 isn't particularly great and many tracks are incomplete or have Billy Corgan and Flood among others talking over them. Nonetheless the bootleg is notable for the appearance of previously unreleased "Pastichio Medley" jams and for insight into the band's recording process.[2]
