BC: [tape cuts in] ...you should know that we’re beginning these, these evening’s proceedings--that’s correct correct English. We’re beginning these evening’s proceedings by playing the Oceania album in full. Because that’s what we do. And then we get around to a few of those dusty classics. When we do stuff off Dookie, Ten...Smells uh, Nevermind...
Jeff: Superun--Superunknown!
BC: ...Superunknown...and a Van Halen one. That’s how we do things around here. So we’d like to carry on in the frivolity, in the spirit of music and good will, and your attendance. We’ll play the title song from our beautiful record, Oceania, this is Oceania.
Oceania

BC: Thank you very much, Los Angeles. L.A. is my lady tonight. How you feelin’ over there, Jeff, you good?
Jeff: Lovin’ it, lovin’ it.
BC: Jeff, from Los Angeles. A native, a true native, unlike most of the people in this room. Unlike you (pointing at Nicole).
Nicole: Uh, including me.
BC: You live here.
Nicole: Not native. Basically a native though, 12 years, kind of a native? Right? Honorary at least?
BC: That’s Nicole over there, that’s Jeff. Now, I also have a home in Los Angeles. I do. But somebody’s suing me. Nobody’s suing me in Chicago but they’re suing me in Los Angeles. You know what they’re suing me for?
Jeff: Indecent exposure.
BC: No! They’re suing me ‘cause I care about the fans. Fuckin’ sucks, man, I care about the fans and then I get sued. And over here, we have Mr. Michael Byrne on the drums. Mike’s from Snob Land up there in Portland. Soon as the baby’s born, they give him like a pitchfork tattoo. It’s right there (gesturing at shoulder).
Nicole: Yeah, yeah, it’s up there.
BC: They inoculate you with some horrible vaccine and then they give you a pitchfork tattoo. You guys havin’ fun? (crowd cheers) Jeff and I saw Judas Priest here, okay, a few years back. Amazing, amazing, one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. And when Rob Halford said, “Are you guys having a (growled) good time?,” (normal voice) everyone yelled, they--not like you just did. Are you havin’ a good time? (louder crowd response) That’s more like it. So as we wrap things up here, we’d like to say thank you very much, god bless you all. Every heathen, Satanist in the room, we love you. Heh heh! That’s about 50 percent of L.A., right? Heh heh heh heh!
Nicole: Can’t forget the Scientologists.
BC: 48?
Nicole: 48 percent.
BC: Romney, 47, right?
Nicole: Probably.
BC: That’s what he was talking about, the Satanists in L.A., right?
Nicole: Yeah, yeah.
BC: Before we wrap this up, we’d like to kick it down for a moment, old school style. This is a song I wrote for my daddy, Bill Corgan Senior. Thanks to a night of indiscretion, I’m here, thank you daddy. Heh heh heh heh heh heh. This is called Song for a Son.
A Song for a Son
Zero
> Cherub Rock
[encore break]

> Muzzle
(BC immediately after lyrics finish: Thank you very much. Thank you Los Angeles, thank you.)
