The Sun Sessions is the second EP from Sierra Swan, following the full-length albums Queen of the Valley (2008) and Girl Who Cried Wolf (2009). It is a cover album that was recorded in just two days at the famed Sun Studio in Memphis, featuring a number of guest musicians. Swan shared the production credit with her father, Billy Swan, in what was their first collaboration on an album. The album was released on Sierra Swan's Bandcamp page on August 7, 2011 in digital download and compact disc formats.
