The January 15, 1998 performance saw an opening set by James Iha in what was his first performance as a solo artist. Billy Corgan then played a solo set of Smashing Pumpkins songs, with all but the encore written for the forthcoming Adore album. Both sets were released in 2021 as Live at the Viper Room 1.15.98, with Corgan's lightly edited to remove two abandoned versions of songs and a small amount of banter.
