Billy Mohler is a Grammy-nominated producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He is currently the bassist for Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, and is a good friend of Chamberlin. The two first met when Mohler auditioned for Zwan, though he was not hired. After Zwan split in 2003 and Chamberlin secured a record deal for his solo project, Mohler was the first person he contacted. Mohler contributed greatly to the band's first album (Life Begins Again), co-writing and co-producing it with Chamberlin, playing bass guitar, bass, electric guitar and keyboards throughout, and singing in "Streetcrawler" and "Newerwaves".[1] His godfather, Bill Medley (The Righteous Brothers) also appears on the album.
In addition to his work with Jimmy Chamberlin Complex, Mohler has his own band, War Tapes, who opened for The Smashing Pumpkins in 2007. Mohler has also worked with Lady Gaga, Aimee Osbourne, Liz Phair, Kelly Clarkson, and Macy Gray, among many others, as well as serving as the bassist for the multi-platinum band The Calling.
