- The Smashing Pumpkins and only associated acts. Pumpkins personnel should have been a member of the band, or have very close ties to them.
- Documenting the music itself and the people behind it. We're here to talk about the music, and how personnel were involved with it. As cool as they may be, NWA, Chicago Cubs, etc., are out of scope.
- Tours, or very notable shows. We can't feasibly document every show, and it isn't really that useful for a wiki anyway. This is better fit for software with a relational database, like SPFC or setlist.fm. If a particular show is especially notable it may warrant article. The rule of thumb is that you should have a lot more to say than just the setlist. Tours are always notable.
