"A Stitch in Time" is a song from the Songs for a Sailor volume of the Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project. It was first released with "Astral Planes" on a limited edition 7" record, sold on Record Store Day exclusively at Amoeba Vinyl in Los Angeles and limited to 250 copies. The MP3 was released on March 2, 2010,[1] and physical copies of the Songs for a Sailor volume as a whole was released on May 25, 2010.[2]
Songwriter Billy Corgan has acknowledged a Donovan influence on the song.[3] The song was first performed live by his side project, Spirits in the Sky.
