Chicago Nights is the third studio album from the Frank Catalano and Jimmy Chamberlin jazz collaboration, following 2016's Bye Bye Blackbird. Spotify however only lists Chamberlin as a performer on the first track, "Kicking The 3".[1] David Sanborn, who is also featured on previous releases from the duo, serves as an alto saxophone player.
The album artwork is by Tony Fitzpatrick with art design by Diana Dagaz.[2]
Night City Publishing had to say about the album: "This is a record bound by duty to music as a concept and a record celebrating the brotherhood of Frank and Jimmy and their special sonic trust and synergy. Pulsing, cacophonous rhythm beats between brass induction and magnetic snares of energy. One can almost hear the unique sounds of Chicago in this record at times."[2]
