BC: Before we continue...the scheduled program, um, like to take a moment on behalf of the band and the band’s touring party to thank the Fillmore for such a wonderful, warm...graceful welcome and uh, everyone here has been very very kind, very very sweet, it’s a wonderful place to play, so thank you, Fillmore. As Jeff knows, today is Jerry Garcia’s birthday. (pointing into the crowd) There he is, Jeff, he’s over there...in the American hat. Tomorrow is also a friend of mine’s birthday, Crystal is celebrating her big 5-0, where are you, Crystal? Don’t hide. Crystal? There she is. Happy birthday, Crystal. I mean, 4-0, once you hit the 4-0, it’s over, so 5-0 I can’t even what happens at 5-0, heh. But uh, god bless you, thank you Crystal. Any birthdays you want to celebrate, Jeff?, heh, heh heh. (Jeff shrugs and Jimmy says something to Billy) Yeah yeah yeah.

Jimmy: (pointing at the same spot Billy pointed earlier) I see what you mean about Jerry.
BC: Huh?
Jimmy: I see what you mean about Jerry.
BC: Happy birthday, Jerry.
Jimmy: [unintelligible]
BC: I know, it’s, heh, like....
Jimmy: Glowing in the dark. (waves to crowd) Thank you.
BC: We only got one more song in us. Yes. That’s the way the zeitgeist works, that’s the way it works. Well, if it’s any consolation, it’s a song we have not played the entire 12 shows we been here at the Fillmore. It’s a gentle song.
Fuck You
