Elizabeth Clark Phair (born April 17, 1967) is an American singer-songwriter. She joined The Smashing Pumpkins as an opening act on the 2016 leg of their In Plainsong tour, also regularly providing vocals for the Pumpkins on "Thirty-Three". Phair has released numerous albums of her own to critical and commercial acclaim.
While Phair was born in New Haven, Connecticut, she like The Smashing Pumpkins is Chicago-based. She also got her career jump-started through early shows at Metro, and has also recorded at Chicago Recording Company.
