May 11, 2022 saw Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, Jeff Schroeder and Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction appear on SiriusXM's The Howard Stern Show. Corgan and Farrell spent about 105 minutes talking to Stern. They announced the band's co-headlining autumn 2022 Spirits On Fire tour before performing "Today" and the Jane's Addiction hit "Jane Says", the latter of which was sung by Farrell.

Later in the day, Corgan, Chamberlin and Schroeder became only the second rock band to have a handprint ceremony outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre (KISS was the first, in 1976). The concrete blocks placed permanently in the forecourt are chosen by a special committee and are generally reserved for Hollywood cinema. The Smashing Pumpkins cement block may instead have been placed in the lobby of the Chinese 6 theater.

Farrell and Perkins also attended that ceremony, though James Iha did not attend either event because he was not feeling well.
