The January 6 to March 2019 Pumpkinland II sessions were for demo recording sessions for the Shiny and Oh So Bright volumes 2 and 3.

Around 60 ideas were recorded early in the process by Corgan, with Chamberlin joining him in March to demo the 20 finished songs.

March 3, 2019

Have just finished basic demos on about 20 songs, pared down from over 40+ ideas. Have mainly focused on music first, with lyrics and melodies to follow. Coming up: working with the boys in the band to arrange the newest before recording commences approximately in April.

March 15, 2019

Listened back to 21 demos today and cut two, so down to 19. Magic number is 15 (or less) before we start recording (in approx. 3 weeks). Oh, forgot... Wrote another song today so the number is back up to 20 (assuming the demo session goes well tomorrow). Then will start work on recutting 5 songs that need more work.

March 17, 2019

One week in cutting new demos with JC, progess is strong. Master list currently stands at 23/24 songs, as I've written some new ideas and found 3 unused "Day for Night" songs that fit in this new work in approach and tone, which is strange because it's almost like I was trying to write this album years ago, but abandoned it obviously because it wasn't quite time. So we'll see how the DFN songs stack up agains the newest.

Now have 13 songs slated to record, with 7 others still being worked on (or, 20 total) with plans to cut down to 15 by recording, which starts with drum tracking in 1/2 weeks.
