"Medellia of the Gray Skies" is a song by the The Smashing Pumpkins released with the "Tonight, Tonight" single, which was bundled with the box set The Aeroplane Flies High. Three takes of the song were recorded,[1] of which the first was included on the 2012 deluxe reissue of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

Originally titled "E.P.", this song was briefly considered for Mellon Collie as a companion piece to "Porcelina of the Vast Oceans". I could never seem to finish the lyrics until right before it was recorded, live with my pals from The Frogs. This song turned out much more beautiful than I ever dreamed possible, teaching me yet another lesson in spontaneity.
