This night in 2001 was Zwan's first ticketed event, billed under the name The True Poets of Zwan. It took place at The Glass House in Pomona, California to a crowd capacity of 800. The lineup included Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin, Matt Sweeney and David Pajo. All songs performed were live debuts. "How Things Are Supposed To Be" was performed without vocals.

Zwan's first show was a secret show two days earlier on November 14, at a small festival called RAWA. The band backed Will Oldham, also known as Bonnie "Prince" Billy.
