Platinum-selling saxman Frank Catalano has assembled an amazing super group for the Chicago Jazz Festival Weekend. Catalano joins forces with drum virtuoso Jimmy Chamberlin of Smashing Pumpkins fame, and legendary Brand X bassist, Percy Jones. Their performance at Andy's Jazz Club will feature jazz standards, powerhouse originals, as well as some Coltrane and Tupac. Catalano, Chamberlin and Jones recorded together earlier this year with special guest guitarists Chris Poland and Bill Frisell, an album that should be out in spring 2014. They will be debuting some of their recently recorded material this weekend throughout their gigs at Andy's Jazz Club.
