[[Billy Corgan]] performs at a memorial service for his friend Florence Shay, who passed away on August 23rd.  Shay was the owner of Titles, Inc., a Highland Park landmark for four decades, whom Corgan met when he came in and bought a pile of poetry books in 2008.<ref>https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-2012-08-26-ct-met-florence-shay-obit-20120826-story.html</ref>  The store closed in late 2012.<ref>https://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/highland-park/ct-xpm-2012-11-13-ct-tl-highland-park-book-store-20121113-story.html</ref> Many years later, Florence's widower Richard would become something of a regular at Corgan's shows at [[Madame ZuZu's|Madame Zuzu's]], attending (at least) two of the three [[Wintersongs residency|Wintersongs shows]] and the [[The Smashing Pumpkins 2022-07-27|Together and Together Again benefit]].
