"To The Grays" is the eighth track from Act II of The Smashing Pumpkins' 2023 rock opera, ATUM.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

June and her armada of other prisoners in exile are approaching Shiny's ship near the sun. June sings "To The Grays" as she floats closer, describing her relationship with Shiny. When they reach the parihelion (referring to the gravitational point of no return), Shiny's ship turns and begins to head back towards the Earth. This leaves June and all of the prisoners to face certain death due the sun's gravitational pull.[1]
