Lyrics[edit | edit source]
written in the sand
always scrawled in foreign hand
the words of your future
and the faces of your past
raising up in shadow
hidden in coral eyes
filing whirling dervish
untold the secret lies
the fire that burns inside you
is lit as eternal flame
desire to surround you
puppets playing a mystic game
always filled with confusion
you move along in song
steps in the process
we belong
in trance
well the caretaker reached in his pocket
and revealed a timeless watch
the rabbit sang Beatle tunes
whispering out of time
we slip down peppermint stick
and into an ancient candy
walking along coffee air
taking our chances in the water
the fire that burns inside you
is lit as eternal flame
desire to surround you
puppets playing a mystic game
always filled with confusion
you move along in song
steps in the process
we belong
in trance
the fire that burns inside you
is lit as eternal flame
desire to surround you
puppets playing a mystic game
always filled with confusion
you move along in song
steps in the process
we belong
in trance
in trance
in trance
in trance
