Iha: Thank you so much. How are you guys doin’? Tampa, Florida, we are the Smashing Pumpkins, we are glad to be here.
Today
Perfect
Disarm (acoustic)
The Celestials
Purple Blood
Ava Adore
(BC after Jimmy solo: Ow! Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin on the drums! Juh juh juh juh juh juh Jimmy. (deep voice) Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, (voice getting higher) Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy.)
Iha: Thank you so much. It sure is hot. I don’t know how you guys deal with...the humidity and the alligators. It’s incredible, being out here. The humidity, all those gators.
BC: Jay, why I –- how you feelin’ tonight?
Iha: I’m feelin’, heh heh, I’m feelin’ great. How are you doing?
BC: I’m doin’ alright.
Iha: Alright, alright. Very nice.
BC: What’s to complain about? Amazing crowd, amazing evening, thank you so much. We’re so pleased to be on this incredible bill with the Interpols.
Iha: Interpol.
BC: It’s plural, right, Interpols? There’s more than one Interpol so it’s Interpols.
Iha: That is true, that is true, I don’t know how we’re gonna work that out.
BC: Right, we’re not the Smashing Pumpkin, we’re the Smashing Pumpkins: Interpols. And then of course Rival Sons, so incredible, thank you. They’ve got the blues but it makes me feel good. You know, we started this band in my father’s house 36 years ago.
Iha: Oh my god.
BC: And though, uh, my father, who James knew quite well...
Iha: Yes.
BC: ...is now on the other side of the veil, he chose to spend the, uh, last years of his life right here in Tampa area.
Iha: He loved the gators and the humidity.
BC: So I can’t, uh, not be up here and think of my daddy. (big “aw” from the crowd) It’s alright, I – yes, heh.
Iha: He lived a full life though.
BC: Yes, I actually have a father, heh heh heh heh. Shocking as it is. So uh, normally, what I like to say, is I dedicate this song, this next song, to everyone here. It’s a little song you might know, but tonight I’d like to add my daddy to that pile, so to you and to my daddy, we dedicate this song. It’s a little song we wrote back in 1994, it is called Tonight, Tonight.
Tonight, Tonight (Billy/Iha acoustic)
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
This Time
Spellbinding
Hubble Bubble (Toil and Trouble)
> Jellybelly
Iha: Alright, we’ve come to the part in the show where...now we’ve really gotta rock. That last song was pretty good, but now we’re gonna rock even harder.
Who Knows (tease - Billy)
Iha: That’s your idea of rock?
Foxy Lady (tease - Billy)
Iha: I-I set it up, I set it up for the big...rock jam.
Manic Depression (tease - Billy)
Iha: This is what we would do in practice.
Bridge of Sighs (tease - Billy)
BC: James, do you think these beautiful people are getting tired?
Iha: Are you people –- are you people tired? I mean, hell, I’d be tired avoiding all those gators.
BC: Do you think the punishing humidity, the unforgiving heat...
Iha: I mean, the humidity is oppressive, it’s insane out here.
BC: ...is droning the life blood out of these beautiful people?
Iha: I mean, it’s hard out there baking. You got gators snappin’ at ya.
BC: What I’m asking...
Iha: Yes?
BC: ...is do you have faith in these people?
Iha: I do have faith in these people.
BC: You’re saying you believe that they still wanna rock?
Iha: I do, I do.
BC: On a scale of one to ten, how much faith do you have?
Iha: Eh, about like seven point five? (crowd disapproves and Iha laughs) Alright, let’s go eight point nine, that’s about as high as I go tonight. Unless you bring me a gator. (crowd cheers) Alright!
Empires
(BC after lyrics, before Jeff outro solo: Tampa!)

Iha: Thank you guys so much. You guys have been awesome, we appreciate it. We’re comin’ to the end of the show and I’d like to introduce the band. On vocals and acoustic guitar, all the way from Australia, Miss Katie Cole. Katie Cole over there. You know him, you love him, on the bass guitar, from Manchester, England, Mr. Jack Bates.
Sex Type Thing (tease - Jack)
Iha: I like that riff. And now, from Hollywood, California, on the guitar, Mr. Jeffff Schroeder. Is there any, uh, hot, hot rockin’ riff you wanna play for these Floridians?
Panama (tease - Jeff)
Iha: (high pitched) Oh yeah! (normal voice) Thank you, Jeff. And now, on the drums, from the great state of Illinois, Mr. Jimmyyyy Chamberlin! It is so humid out and Jimmy’s been beatin’ the shit out of those drums all night. Lead vocals, lead guitar, Mr. Billyyy Corgan! Thank you guys so much, I’m James Iha, this is called Cherub Rock!
Cherub Rock
> Zero
(BC immediately after final lyrics: Thank you very much!)
> Love Gun (tease)
