Atum Intro
Empires
(BC before Jeff outro solo: Cleveland!)
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Iha: Hello, Cleveland! How are you guys doing? Thank you so much for coming out, we are the Smashing Pumpkins.
Today
We Only Come Out at Night (acoustic)
Cyr
> Once in a Lifetime
Solara
Eye
(BC after 2nd chorus: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the rock show. We love you so much, Cleveland, you’ve always been there for us, thank you so much, thank you.)
(BC over outro singalong: Sing it with us. Come on, you gotta do better than that. Ow! One more time, one more time!)
Ava Adore
(BC after Jimmy solo: Ow! Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin!)
Iha: Thank you, how are you guys doin'? Thumbs up? Uh, thank you so much for coming out tonight, we uh, we appreciate it. We’ve got the acoustic guitars out. Maybe now we’re gonna kick it down a little.
BC: James, before we kick it down, how you feelin’ tonight?
Iha: I’m feelin’ good, feelin’ good in Cleveland, hangin’ out. Went to the Starbucks this morning, got an Americano and a berry yogurt, it was pretty good. Somebody wanted to beat me up though.
BC: You want to play some uh, Margaritaville, what do you wanna play?
Iha: Heh heh heh. Hey...why not? I don’t know the song but if you wanna play it...heh heh, I’ll watch.
BC: Listen, as I was saying before, Cleveland’s always been there for the Smashing Pumpkins. We started this band about 34 years ago.
Iha: So long.
BC: And we’ve been coming here about 32, 33 years, give or take a season.
Iha: That’s right.
BC: But you know, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Iha: Heh! These are truisms that happen all the time, I agree with it.
BC: Did you know they changed the name of the baseball team?
Iha: Yes, I did. (crowd boos loudly) They had a good season, they had a good season.
BC: They’re the Guardians now, they’re guarding. They’re guarding you! They’re guarding you.
Iha: T –- Tino, J-Rod, they had a great season. That guy can hit.
BC: I mean, like in the wild, a cub, a Chicago Cub versus a Cleveland Guardian, the Guardian would win, the Guardian’s got more...
Iha: Okay, we can’t talk about this...
BC: ...like, D&D, more uh...
Iha: ...can’t talk about the Cubs or uh, heh....
BC: ...attack force. Heh heh. Listen, heh! Jokes aside, jokes aside, this is my favorite part of the show because I get to thank everyone personally for 34 years of this band. The good and the not so good. The beautiful and the sublime, the sacred and the profane! The highs, the lows...and the lowers. But here we are with you, it’s so special to be here, I can’t even tell you. So we dedicate this song to you, little song we like to call Tonight, Tonight.
Tonight, Tonight (Billy/Iha acoustic)
Starla
Stand Inside Your Love
I of the Mourning
Iha: Thank you thank you. I'd like to introduce the band. On vocals, all the way from Australia, Ms. Katieee Cole. Katie Cole. On the bass (pronounced like the fish) guitar, all the way from Manchester, England, Mr. Jack Bates. Jack Bates. What are you drinkin', Jack? Alright, you wanna drink straight gin, fuck up your life, you can go do that. From Hollywood, California, Mr. Jeff Schroeder! Wanna give me some Van Halen or Ratt? Not tonight, that's the kinda crowd you are to Jeff. On the drums, Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin! And now...(laughing) and now -- and now, on the lead vocals and lead guitar, Mr. Billyyyyy Corgan. I'm James Iha and according to our setlist, it is Cherub Rock!
Cherub Rock
> Ain’t Talkin’ ‘bout Love (tease - very brief, during Billy’s transition solo)
> Zero
> Love Gun (tease)
1979
Beguiled
> Silverfuck
(BC immediately after lyrics finish: Thank you very much! Thank you Cleveland!)
Iha: Thank you so much.
BC: Happy Halloween, happy Halloween.
