Silvery Sometimes
BC: Thank you so kindly, thank you Madison! We appreciate you being here with us tonight on this cold, blustery summer’s eve. Like to thank our friends in Drab Majesty for opening the show, one of my favorite bands.
Iha: Well done, well done.
BC: I felt the goth power. Did you enjoy the show? (crowd cheers)
Iha: What are they gonna say, “No”?
BC: What’s that?
Iha: What would they say, “No”?
BC: (laughing) I’ve seen a lot of people say no to me over the years, heh.
Iha: Okay. Yeah. Okay, that’s true. Could happen.
BC: Now they just chant “Yes.” Yes, yes. (crowd chanting “yes”) And you know, anything up here goes.
Iha: Anything goes in Madison.
BC: There’s no laws in Wisconsin, I don’t know if you knew that, there’s no laws, just anything goes. Jimmy knows! You’ve had some fun times in Wisconsin, Jimmy. James, we’ve had some fun times in Wisconsin.
Iha: Yes. We recorded our first record here in Madison, Wisconsin. And we’re not playing a single goddamn song from that record.
BC: Hahahahahaha! I mean, we could play a song if you want. So when you set that up....
Iha: Heh. How ‘bout a song from our third record?
BC: We’ll play this--we’ll play this old war horse and we’ll see how it goes after that, alright?
Iha: Yes.
BC: You a good time Charlie? Like to introduce the other gentlemen on the stage. All the way from Manchester, England, Mr. Jack Bates. Jack Bates. And from uh, SoCal...O.G. SoCal, Mr. Jeff Schroeder.
Iha: Ow!
Detroit Rock City (tease - Jeff)
BC: I’m called a lot of things, but my mother named me William.
Iha: Mr. William Patrick Corgan, vocals, lead guitar.
BC: So if you know this last one or this one--
Iha: Wait wait wait, wait wait, heh heh, it’s only--
BC: Hey man, you’re supposed to pretend there’s not another encore and then if they want the encore, then you act like “Oh wow, you want another song.”
Iha: You’re the [3-4 unintelligible words].
BC: Don’t you know the rock and roll rules at this point?
Iha: The rhythms!
BC: Remember those Rush lyrics? You know...you’re supposed to treat a stranger like a long awaited friend, you know? Rock and roll, man.
Iha: No, what song is that?
BC: Heh heh heh. Anyway, if you know this song, please sing along. We love you, we appreciate you, thank you for making this night happen.
Muzzle
(BC immediately after lyrics finish: Thank youuuu!)
