Zero Interlude Film
(BC: Ladies, gentlemen, friends, lovers, beasts or fowl, welcome to the show. We are the illuminated, the illustrious, the ill-timed knock. (two snare drum hits) Ah yes, we are the fractured, the schisms, the rift and the rabble, the sleepy clown, the atomized downs, the dreams you stopped dreaming oh so long ago. Yes, all colors mixed and marred make up the black, as do all numbers fix up the zero, zed and null. So let’s go back to your beginnings, as I shall go back to mine. It won’t last, it’ll be quick, but then again, that’s why we’re here. No past, no future, no sun. So let’s blow on fading embers, to boast about kings near, forgotten and buried. Tis the end. Tis the end. Tis the end.)

> The Everlasting Gaze
Stand Inside Your Love
Iha: Thank you, St. Paul! How are you? It’s nice to be back here. The land of lakes, hockey and extreme cold weather. Uh, thank you so much for coming out, we really appreciate it. We’re in the, like, fourth way through the set and we gots a lot more rockin’ to do, thank you so much for coming.

(Mark McGrath: Well, hello there, neighbors! Are you enjoying the show thus far? Well, good, I am too, even though I’m not real. Now, if I could steal a moment of your time, I’d like to introduce somebody verrry special to you. He’s been a friend and a neighbor to each and every one of you. He’s been the voice you might hear in the stiiill of the night or a night dog straining against the moon. And, in fact, this young man has been with you almost every step along the way on life’s long journey, sighing so ever soft. He’s been a lover, a fighter, but never a cad. A beacon, a searchlight piercing every impenetrable fog. And he’s here, just now, to sing for you, that golden chestnut we like to call Blew Away. So gather round, ‘cause here he is: the one, the only, Mr. Jaaaaames Iha.)

> Stairway to Heaven
Iha: Alright, alright, St. Paul. Minneapolis, the Twin Cities, thank you so much. How are you guys doin’? Are you still with us? Was that a strange vortex to go into, Stairway to Heaven by the Smashing Pumpkins? Heh, yes, it was a very strange vortex. It’s a crazy song to play. But we’re happy to play it. Alright, a quick introduction of the band. On the keyboards, vocals, acoustic guitar, Ms.--all the way from Melbourne, Australia!--Ms. Katie Cole! Katie Cole, Katie Cole, CDs are for sale up front. And now, all the way from Manchester, England, on the bass guitar, Mr. Jack Bates. How are you feelin’, Jack? Great, great, great. And now, from southern California, Mr. Ace Frehley himself, on guitar, Jeffffffff Schroeder!
Bridge of Sighs (tease - Jeff plays a few seconds of the intro)
Iha: What would Ace do, Jeff? He would just rock out. He wouldn’t play too fast, right? And now from Joliet, Illinois, on the motherfuckin’ drums, Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin. He’s a good man, he’s a good man. On guitar, I’m James Iha from a northwest suburb, thank you so much, you guys have been awesome. And now, on vocals, lead guitar, Mr. William Patrick Corgan! And now, we will rock.

(Mark McGrath: Well, wowie zowie, papa ooh maow maow! What a wang dang and doodle of a show. And, it ain’t over yet. Now I don’t know about you but this next tune is one of my faaaaaaves. Reminds me of drivin' down the old PCH, high out of my mind on ecstasy and I was singing the chorus of the song you’re about to hear so hard and so on high, that one of my front teeth fell right out! Yup, plain out right there in the dashboard. Wow. That decade was just, just so good, wasn’t it? I mean, here you have young wash masters rising up to start a musical and cultural revolution that was soon co-opted by the machine and driven asunder! Gee golly. But thankfully, what we got in return was just so much better. I mean, let’s face it, who doesn’t want perfection in their stars above? ‘Cause perfect people making perfect, sweet music is, well, it’s just, it’s just what a god wants for all of us! Whoo! Red light, stop, it’s raining. The air is cool and the sky is gray and the year? Well, it’s 1979!)

Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Iha: Ow! Thank you so much. St. Paul, you guys are great, thank you. We salute you for those who rock, all over the place, thank you St. Paul. We have one last song we’d like to sing, one last goodnightly song. We hope you enjoy it.
BC: We have reached the end, thank you so much everybody. Thank you so much. This is the band’s 30th year. Feels like only yesterday we were drivin’ up here in the van to play 7th Street Entry. And you know Prince used to come down and sit in with us, but nobody was there to see it. Didn’t you write Purple Rain? Heh heh heh heh. Oh no, you wrote that one, um, Diamonds and Pearls.
Iha: I’m not gonna mess with the Minnesota magic.
BC: We love Prince! Come on, man. God bless Prince.
Iha: We’re joking, we’re joking, we’re joking.
BC: I actually, honestly, this is a true story, I met Prince once. And he was in a tent in a club, so you had to go into the tent to talk to Prince and he was in a tent and he was just sitting there by himself.
Iha: He was glamping.
BC: He’s awesome. So I go in the tent, he wanted to meet me, I go in the tent, he goes, “I really like 1979.”
Iha: It’s great, that’s a highlight.
BC: I mean, I’m like, “I’ll take that, see you later.”
Iha: Heh heh heh heh.
BC: God bless everybody here, we love coming up here. I mean, all that rock is dead stuff that I started in the late ‘90s, I mean, we were wrong, right? Here we are. Rock ain’t dead for fuck, man. You started saying rock was dead about ‘94 but I was like no no no and then in ‘99, I joined you.
Iha: Heh heh heh, did I say that?
BC: No, he never said rock is dead, that was my problem. Anyway, if you know this last song, please sing along.
