Zero Interlude Film
(BC: Ladies, gentlemen, friends, lovers, beasts or fowl, welcome to the show. We are the illuminated, the illustrious, the ill-timed knock. (two snare drum hits) Ah yes, we are the fractured, the schisms, the rift and the rabble, the sleepy clown, the atomized downs, the dreams you stopped dreaming oh so long ago. Yes, all colors mixed and marred make up the black, as do all numbers fix up the zero, zed and null. So let’s go back to your beginnings, as I shall go back to mine. It won’t last, it’ll be quick, but then again, that’s why we’re here. No past, no future, no sun. So let’s blow on fading embers, to boast about kings near, forgotten and buried. Tis the end. Tis the end. Tis the end.)
Zero
The Everlasting Gaze
Stand Inside Your Love
Iha: Thank you! Thank you, Toronto, Ontario, how are you? Thank you so much for coming tonight, we appreciate it. We are rocking, we are trying to rock hard for you. We got some more, got some more rock jams for you. This is not a rock - this is not a rock jam.

Vaudeville Interlude Film
(Mark McGrath: Well, hello there, neighbors! Are you enjoying the show thus far? Well, good, I am too, even though I’m not real. Now, if I could steal a moment of your time, I’d like to introduce somebody verrry special to you. He’s been a friend and a neighbor to each and every one of you. He’s been the voice you might hear in the stiiill of the night or a night dog straining against the moon. And, in fact, this young man has been with you almost every step along the way on life’s long journey, sighing so ever soft. He’s been a lover, a fighter, but never a cad. A beacon, a searchlight piercing every impenetrable fog. And he’s here, just now, to sing for you, that golden chestnut we like to call Blew Away. So gather round, ‘cause here he is: the one, the only, Mr. Jaaaaames Iha.)
Blew Away
For Martha
BC: Thank you, thank you so kindly.
To Sheila

> Stairway to Heaven
Iha: Thank you. You get so much value within this concert in Space Oddity, Stairway to Heaven, what’s next? I’m taking requests, we’re doin’ two sets later tonight. Alright, quick introduction. On the vocals, the keys, some acoustic guitar, Ms. Katie Cole. She’s over there, let’s put a spot - okay. On the bass, all the way from Manchester, England, Mr. Jack Bates. (Jack plays a few bass notes) Nice. From Southern California, on the guitar, Mr. Jeff Schroeder!
Hot for Teacher (tease - Jeff)
Iha: That’s what happens, grow up out there and you learn how to play Ratt! All the way from Joliet, Illinois, a fine place in Illinois, Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin! I am James Iha, thank you. On vocals, guitar, Mr. Billyyyyy Corgan!
Fly by Night (tease - Billy & Jeff)
Iha: Alright! Let’s play Rush. Who wants to get up here and sing that? No, I’m kidding.
YYZ (tease - Jeff)
Iha: Okay. What other Rush song you wanna hear now?
Magic Power (tease - Billy)
Iha: How ‘bout Triumph? You got the magic power in you? (Jimmy starts Cherub Rock) Alright, how ‘bout Cherub Rock?
Cherub Rock
Vaudeville Interlude Film
(Mark McGrath: Well, wowie zowie, papa ooh maow maow! What a wang dang and doodle of a show. And, it ain’t over yet. Now I don’t know about you but this next tune is one of my faaaaaaves. Reminds me of drivin' down the old PCH, high out of my mind on ecstasy and I was singing the chorus of the song you’re about to hear so hard and so on high, that one of my front teeth fell right out! Yup, plain out right there in the dashboard. Wow. That decade was just, just so good, wasn’t it? I mean, here you have young wash masters rising up to start a musical and cultural revolution that was soon co-opted by the machine and driven asunder! Gee golly. But thankfully, what we got in return was just so much better. I mean, let’s face it, who doesn’t want perfection in their stars above? ‘Cause perfect people making perfect, sweet music is, well, it’s just, it’s just what a god wants for all of us! Whoo! Red light, stop, it’s raining. The air is cool and the sky is gray and the year? Well, it’s 1979!)
Radio Intro tape
> 1979
Ava Adore
BC: Woo! Goddammit, woo! Heh heh, thank you so much. This one’s for the ladies.
Try, Try, Try
> The Beginning is the End is the Beginning
> Hummer
Today
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Iha: Alright alright, thank you so much, Toronto! This is our last song. It went by so fast. Are you ready to rock some more though? One more. One more big rock song.
Detroit Rock City (tease - Jeff)
Iha: Heh, just one more.
BC: Friends, thank you so much, thank you. We are very much here because of you, we can’t thank you enough, everybody all the way at the top, thank you so much, everybody. Amazing, amazing night, thank you. I was gonna say something about Rush and then I was like, maybe I shouldn’t talk about Rush, I always talk about Rush.
Iha: Hell of a band.
BC: I’ll let you vote. Should I talk about Rush, yes? Should I not talk about Rush? Oh!
Iha: There’s a couple dudes over there -
BC: I think yes, the yeses have it.
Iha: There’s a couple dudes over there like, “Don’t!” What do you wanna hear?
BC: A quick, a quick, a quick true story.
Iha: Thank you to Metric, by the way, thank you, thanks, thank you.
BC: (laughing) Can I tell a quick true story?
Iha: Yeah, go ahead.
BC: Thank you, James. When James - no, sorry, you’re James - when Jimmy first joined the Smashing Pumpkins in the late spring of 1988...you were what, 14?
Iha: Heh heh heh heh.
BC: And, heh, I was 16. And uh, so we got to talking about Rush, right? And I was like, “Oh, you know, blah blah blah” and Jimmy was like, “Oh, you mean this song?” and he could do anything Neil Peart can do, right? It’s true. And then I thought, “Holy shit, this guy can play like Neil Peart, we can have a totally different band than the Goth band we were in at the time.” So, it’s pretty simple: this band owes so much to Rush, I can’t even put it into words. We love them so much. We know that you love them here too and...I know Geddy is golfing or watching baseball, but...heh heh, or something. We just want to say publically, for all time, this band would not exist without Rush, we wouldn’t be here with you without Rush. And in our world, it’s pretty simple, if you don’t like Rush, fuck you. It’s a really simple equation. We could go deep on the catalog, we understand the hits, you know, the Grace Under Pressure, you know, if you don’t like Rush, fuck you. So this song is to everybody, Rush included, this is our last song, if you know it, sing along.
