(BC: Ladies, gentlemen, friends, lovers, beasts or fowl, welcome to the show. We are the illuminated, the illustrious, the ill-timed knock. (two snare drum hits) Ah yes, we are the fractured, the schisms, the rift and the rabble, the sleepy clown, the atomized downs, the dreams you stopped dreaming oh so long ago. Yes, all colors mixed and marred make up the black, as do all numbers fix up the zero, zed and null. So let’s go back to your beginnings, as I shall go back to mine. It won’t last, it’ll be quick, but then again, that’s why we’re here. No past, no future, no sun. So let’s blow on fading embers, to boast about kings near, forgotten and buried. Tis the end. Tis the end. Tis the end.)

(Mark McGrath: Well, hello there, neighbors! Are you enjoying the show thus far? Well, good, I am too, even though I’m not real. Now, if I could steal a moment of your time, I’d like to introduce somebody verrry special to you. He’s been a friend and a neighbor to each and every one of you. He’s been the voice you might hear in the stiiill of the night or a night dog straining against the moon. And, in fact, this young man has been with you almost every step along the way on life’s long journey, sighing so ever soft. He’s been a lover, a fighter, but never a cad. A beacon, a searchlight piercing every impenetrable fog. And he’s here, just now, to sing for you, that golden chestnut we like to call Blew Away. So gather round, ‘cause here he is: the one, the only, Mr. Jaaaaames Iha.)

Detroit Rock City (tease - Jeff)
Iha: He’s got an affinity, an affinity for Kiss, Detroit Rock City. He told me on the bus, he goes “James, I really wanna play Detroit Rock City in Detroit!” He said, “If we could just do the first part and then do this cool fusion part I’ve got and then we’ll go off into this folk part with a banjo....” On the drums, Mr. motherfuckin’ Jimmy Chamberlin!
The Ocean (tease - Jeff plays about 5 notes)
Iha: I’m James Iha. Thank you. On lead vocals, lead guitar, Mr. Billy Corgan! (Billy dances with his guitar for a moment) He’s dancin’ with that Stratocaster, you don’t know what’s gonna happen next, like this song! (Jimmy immediately starts Cherub Rock)

(Mark McGrath: Well, wowie zowie, papa ooh maow maow! What a wang dang and doodle of a show. And, it ain’t over yet. Now I don’t know about you but this next tune is one of my faaaaaaves. Reminds me of drivin' down the old PCH, high out of my mind on ecstasy and I was singing the chorus of the song you’re about to hear so hard and so on high, that one of my front teeth fell right out! Yup, plain out right there in the dashboard. Wow. That decade was just, just so good, wasn’t it? I mean, here you have young wash masters rising up to start a musical and cultural revolution that was soon co-opted by the machine and driven asunder! Gee golly. But thankfully, what we got in return was just so much better. I mean, let’s face it, who doesn’t want perfection in their stars above? ‘Cause perfect people making perfect, sweet music is, well, it’s just, it’s just what a god wants for all of us! Whoo! Red light, stop, it’s raining. The air is cool and the sky is gray and the year? Well, it’s 1979!)

BC: Thank you so much everybody. Thank you.
Iha: Well, if any of you could hear, all up there, way up there, we thank you so much.
BC: [3-4 unintelligible words]. Want to say one thing that’s a personal note. We’ve been comin’ up here - at least the three of us, heh, and of course Jeff for the last 12 years - we’ve been comin’ up to Detroit since about 1989.
Iha: That is a long time.
BC: Now I’m not so good at the maths, but that’s about 29 years.
Iha: Super long.
BC: Had some good times here and bad times here. And I just wanna say, I hope this city turns it around, it’s a great city. I know everybody’s workin’ hard to turn this city around.
Iha: It’ll get its turn, slow lean into that turn. I don’t know.
BC: They don’t seem enthused by the turnaround speech, but....
Iha: Heh heh heh! But it’s coming, [unintelligible].
BC: I mean it from my heart, I love this city, I appreciate this city very much. Some of the greatest shows we ever had back in the day were in this fuckin’ city. ‘Cause this city rocks fuckin’ hard, you know what I’m talkin’ about.
Iha: It always rocks.
BC: A Seger, a Nugent...[unintelligible name].
Iha: There are many, the list is -
BC: Stooges and the Iggys.
Iha: Stooges and Iggys.
BC: Anyway, you know what happens when I open my mouth: trouble ensues. I become a meme, I don’t wanna become a meme, I just wanna know - I just want you to know that I appreciate you. Thank you very much. And last thing, I took my son today - he was here earlier today - I took my son to the history museum.
Iha: Nice, a very nice thing.
BC: Mr. Chips and I went in the basement and saw the train display.
Iha: Very nice.
BC: And then there was like the exhibit with the tiger head guy.
Iha: I’m not familiar with it.
BC: Mr. Tiger Head Guy?
Iha: Was it scary...for him?
BC: No.
Iha: I don’t know, I haven’t seen it.
BC: Heh heh, it’s Mr. Tiger Head Guy, right, (laughing) what’s his name? (crowd shouting) Sammy Baseball? Tommy Balls?
Iha: What’s his name? Ah yes...
BC: Three Outs.
Iha: ...Mike.
BC: Tommy Three Outs. Hahahahaha!
Iha: And this is one of those -
BC: One more song, please enjoy, if you know the words, sing along please. I’ve been vaped to death up here, so I need a little help from all the vaping coming at me. Lot of vaping up here...
