The March 26, 2016 In Plainsong: An Acoustic-Electro Evening show was the first time James Iha joined Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin on stage since the farewell show on December 2, 2000. March 26 is also Iha's birthday. The band and the crowd sang "Happy Birthday" just before "Amarinthe" in the encore. Iha would also join the band at their second Los Angeles show the following day.
