Banter[edit | edit source]

BC: Hello hello hello, 1,2, hello, yeah, fuck off, yeah, yeah, fuck off, yeah. 1,2,1,2, hello? Hello, yeah, uh huh, uh huh. That’s how you know you’re a big star, you do your own soundcheck. 1,2,1,2. (singing) 1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2. Lost all my money, lost my shoes. (speaking) Can you hear the vocal okay? Alright. Alright, we’ll play some songs. And then uh, they explained all the signing and everything, we’re cool with that? There won’t be a negative tweet about it?
Guy in crowd: Thank you, thank you!
BC: No, thank you. Naw, it’s cool, let’s have some fun. So we’ll play a few songs, then we’ll do the signing as quick as we can, so nobody’s out too late ‘cause I know everyone likes to go to bed early here.
Drum + Fife
BC: Thank you. Yeah, whoever's talking over there, I'm not that fucking deaf yet.
Girl in crowd: Can I come and see?
BC: I'm sorry?
Girl in crowd: Can I come and see?
BC: Can you come see what?
Different girl in crowd: 1979!
BC: You wanna hear 1979?
Crowd: Yeah!
BC: Fuck off.
(people yelling song requests)
Guy in crowd: Play more from the new ones.
BC: Yeah, thank you. How 'bout this, I’ll play whatever the fuck I want, how’s that? That’s the great part about writing all these songs, I can play ‘em, I can not play ‘em. When people are nice, I tend to play more; when they don’t shut the fuck up, I play less. And so when you horde around that person like a angry mob, what can I do? Heh heh heh.
(Billy starts Being Beige)
Guy in crowd: Drum and Fife was great.
BC: Thank you.
Being Beige
BC: Thank you, thank you very much.
Stand Inside Your Love
BC: See, the songs clean up nice. (quietly to Jeff) One and All?
One and All
Disarm (abandoned quickly)
BC: I don’t remember hearing that cheer on all those other songs.
Disarm (abandoned quickly again after a girl in the crowd calls Billy a tease)
BC: Did you say -- call me a cocktease? Wait, who said that? Who said that? It’s okay, I won’t yell, I’m just.... Was it a boy or a girl? It was a boy, I heard a man’s voice. You’re the woman with the man’s voice?
Disarm (abandoned quickly again)
BC: What a -- wait, wait, how does that make me a cocktease? I really need to figure that out. You wanna explain that or...?
Drunk guy in crowd: You know how it makes you a cocktease!
BC: What’s that?
Drunk guy in crowd: You know how it makes you a cocktease.
BC: No, I’m actually really curious, go ahead. I need to catch my breath anyway, so let’s just tell me how I am a cocktease.
Girl in crowd: I thought it sounded strong and then you stopped.
BC: What’s that?
Girl in crowd: I got excited [unintelligible].
BC: So you attacked, yes.
Guy in crowd: It was just like sticking the tip in. ...
BC: We could do the samba version if that would satisfy you.
Disarm (samba version)
(BC after verse 1: It’s funny now but in about two minutes, you’re gonna be fuckin’ over it.)
BC: Okay, thank you very much.
