BC: Hello there, ladies and gentlemen of London. Nice to see you, okay. My name is Fred, that's Sam, Tommy, Sally.
Tonight, Tonight
> Glass and the Ghost Children
I Am One / We're an American Band
(BC midsong: Across the vow of time, I reach up for a little magic. I say my prayers and ask for forgiveness. ‘Cause we’ll torch the soul, we’ll peel the skin, we’ll trap the heart, anyway you want, anything you want, anything you need, anything you bleed. Ooh, ahh. (singing) We’re an American band. We’re an American band. We’re comin’ to your town, we’ll help you party down, we’re an American band. [tape cut] (speaking) So we reach way back, we reach way back, we reach way back to a time of innocence and a time of immaturity, of dreams waited to hatch. 1991, bam. We crest the thighs, we kiss the eyes, haha. We’ll pierce the tongue, we’ll tattoo your ass, we’ll do anything, we’ll do anything. We wear [unintelligible word]. (Billy solos briefly) We come bringin’ the flu and the winter and the Chicago blues. Rrrrround down. That’s right. We’ll stick it in your ear, haha, we’ll come in your mouth. We’ll be your bitch for the night. We’ll make things right. We beg resurrection, we ask in compassion, weeeeee need, we need, we need, we need, we draw the tower, we draw the tower, we draw the tower. We are the machines, ha! We speak the dream. We are the machines. We are the machines of goooooood.)
Rock On
(BC during Iha solo: The next mayor of London, Malcolm McLaren on the lead guitar.)
> Zero
To Sheila
Iha: Thank you. Thank you very much. Is everybody having a reasonable time? Uh, Billy's getting over a rough throat and we're trying to carry on. They were saying it's uh, I guess a local greeting, I've been giving it to all these people and it doesn't seem to translate, I guess, as the way it should be. Um, heh heh heh. This next song which we will get to after a five minute jazz experience, we uh - it's an old, it’s an old song. I know you haven't heard many of the new songs, but they're really, the new songs are really nice, you just don't know 'em yet. There's, there's a song on the album where we brought in a couple singers from a few boy bands: from Westlife...and from America, Backstreet Boys. And we're hoping to make the crossover that we've been trying to make for years and uh.... Uh, heh heh. Alright, okay, are we ready to rock? Now - now we will rock.
Cherub Rock
Ava Adore (w/Smells Like Teen Spirit tease in intro)
BC: Thank you very much, thank you very much, thank you, thank you. Thank you very much. We'd like to play one more song for you this evening, it's another new song, it's called I of the Mourning.
I of the Mourning
[encore break]
Iha: Thanks a lot, thanks a lot. On drums and now guitar, Mr. Jimmy Chamberlin. On sick lead vocals and guitar, Mr. Billy Corgan. On the bass (pronounced like the fish) guitar, Miss Melissa Auf der Maur.
BC: From Canada. She's from Canada.
Iha: Canadian socialist.
BC: And who the fuck are you?
Iha: Um, I can't think of a quick quip, who is that guy they're talking about in the paper, uh, Archer or something? I don't know, I can't think of anybody.
BC: You're Mike Tyson! You're Tyson! Or you're fighting Mike Tyson, that would be better.
Iha: Alright, I - yes. I’m going to fight Mike Tyson.
1979 (acoustic, Jimmy plays guitar)
BC: God bless you, god bless you very much, thank you, goodnight.
[encore break]
Age of Innocence
