Banter[edit | edit source]
To Sheila
D’arcy: Thank you, thank you. You won't know many of these songs but we hope you enjoy anyway.
Tear
BC: Thank you very much, hello. Nice to see you all again, great to be in Hamburg again. (German accent) It’s good, very good. (normal voice) Thank you very much for coming, we hope you have a nice time.
Once Upon a Time
> Crestfallen
BC: How y'all doin’? The Scorpions will be on later. The Scorpions! (crowd boos) Awww, come on, Germany’s own. The Scorpions! (crowd boos) I like the Scorpions. Heh. Well, we're gonna rock you like a hurricane.
Rock You Like a Hurricane (tease)
Ava Adore
Daphne Descends
> Let Me Give the World to You
BC: So uh, we're glad that techno took over the world. Well, first it was the Scorpions, then techno. Just kidding. So we'd like you all to uh, sing along on this next song. I'm getting a little older, I can't quite sing like I used to, you'll have to cover up for me. You’ve seen the video and uh, now sing the song.
Tonight, Tonight (acoustic)
drum/percussion solo
> Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Shame
BC: Thank you all so much for making this a wonderful day for us. This is the first concert that we're playing on our new album, so thanks for walking us in. We'd like to say thank you to the local council here in Hamburg for letting us even play. Most American cities won't even let us play outside like this for a free concert, so we appreciate it very much that they're allowing us to do it here. I guess that means you have to vote for whoever's in office right now. Um, heh heh heh.
Rock You Like a Hurricane (tease)
1979
> Thru the Eyes of Ruby
[encore break]
D’arcy: You have been a wonderful audience, this is our first show of this tour, I hope that the rest of the audiences are half as good as you guys, thank you, danke schoen, danke schoen.
Transmission / Help!
(BC at 10:14: We don’t know where the song goes after this part so (high pitched) rrarr! (normal) We’re just kinda making it up as we go along, so uh...heh heh heh.)
BC: God bless you. Thank you, Hamburg! God bless you, thank you so much, thank you.
Iha: Thank you, thanks, thank you.
D’arcy: Danke schoen, danke schoen. Auf wiedersehen.
