Iha: The sadness.
BC: ...the sad part.

> Thru the Eyes of Ruby
Iha: Woo! Damn. Hello, how is everybody? We would like to thank Garbage for a rockin' set. Hope you like the rock. (Billy starts Siva intro) And now we go back in time, way back...to our first album.

Iha: Oh, nice. Thank you very much. You guys are rockin'. And we give you the big Chicago evil hand 'cause we are from Chicago, it's very nice to be here in (Southern accent) Kentucky (normal voice) and uh, hope you're all havin' a good time, y'all havin' a good time.
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida / Sunshine of Your Love
Iha: Oh no, no, no. No, no. No, yeah. Yeah. Alright. Kentucky! I want you to get it on with me tonight, come on! I want, I want some excitement right goddamn now! Yeah!! Put your hands in the air like you just don’t motherfuckin’ care! (Matt solos) Alright, make it funky, make it funky. (solo ends) Yeah. Yeah! Any second, we’ll continue on with the uh...(Billy starts soloing)...rock show--oh! You got the motherfuckin’ blues, don’t ya?! Yeaaaaah!! You’re from Chicago! Play that B.B. King shit, yeah! Fuckin’ rockin’ [unintelligible]! Eric Clapton ain’t got nothin’ on you! (screams) (Billy starts playing the Sunshine of Your Love riff) Come on, get on your fuckin’ feet! Yeah!! Aaaaaah!! I got time for this shit! Plant your flag, come on! Alright!! Yeah yeah yeah! (Billy goes back into In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida) Alright, I’m sorry, I just lost my mind for a minute. Now we take you back to our show. Hope everybody’s having a good time [2 unintelligible words]. I knew there was people who were stickin’ around, listenin’ to our wack ass mecha cyber rock. (Billy is soloing again) What’s that you’ve played? Alright, we’ve completely lost our minds at this point, we’ll try to continue on with the show, I see you got your hands in the air. [3 unintelligible words], come on, one more time, let’s do it, Kentucky, [unintelligible word] Kentucky, ‘cause I love ya! (band stops) Oh my god.
> X.Y.U.
[encore break]
Iha: Aw, aw. How is it, okay? And now ladies and gentlemen, as you keenly await, we have a special guest. Yes, all the way from Milwaukee, of the Frogs, Jimmy Frog! Hey, Jimmy Frog, alright, round of applause for Jimmy fuckin’ Frog. Yeah, and on the keyboards, his brother, Dennis Frog. Alright. (Dennis plays explosion noise) Thank you, Dennis. Alright, you guys, cut that keyboard crap out. Alright, and now....
BC: Jimmy? Jimmy, would you like to say hello to the people of Louisville?
Iha: Jimmy is from France, remember.
Jimmy: Good evening, Louisville! We had a great time at Churchill Downs today, really made out good.
Iha: What happened?
Jimmy: Fifty thousand.
Iha: This man has the golden touch. If any of you tomorrow want to go to Churchill Downs with Jimmy, he'll be more than glad to bet more money...on anything you want. And of course, on the drums, our new drummer, Matt “Cosmo” Walker! Alright.
BC: Now is the uh...this has become part of a tradition of our show. Some of you are pointing to yourselves, I see you've heard of this tradition. This is where we invite two, three, sometimes four people on stage to dance.
Iha: Now, now you gotta be funky though.
BC: Normally I don't choose, but this girl down here's gotta come up, you right there.
Iha: Alright. Now, who's next?
BC: Jimmy--Jimmy shall choose the rest of thee.
(Matt starts a beat)
Iha: So let’s go see where Jimmy Frog is.
BC: Who shall be the lucky boys and girls, who shall dance?
Iha: Alright, one more time, Matt, gimme gimme that rave, jungle ass beat. (Matt speeds up the beat) Aw yeah, let’s put up those hands one more time ‘cause we're feeling sexy, we're feeling sexy, we wanna dance with the Smashin' Pumpkins, know what I'm sayin'? Word, put up those hands, aw yeah! Jimmy, pick those dancers! Jump for joy, people, the green man is comin' through to pick you! He will save your soul!
BC: I don't know, James, that guy’s pretty good, that guy's pretty good.
Iha: Uhhh...where? That guy?
BC: No, this guy right there.
Iha: Where?
BC: This guy right there.
Iha: That guy?
BC: This guy.
Iha: He looks uh....
BC: This guy.
Iha: Oh my--wait a, wait a minute, wait. (Matt stops)
BC: Come on up, brother!
Iha: Come on up, you're outta control. Valjean, keep an eye on this motherfucker. Heh heh. Alright, I'm sorry about the cursing, I swear too much, I will call my mother afterwards and tell her "Mom, I swore too much at the concert." Okay, subsequently--oh, oh my god, you're outta control already. Okay, so we have our fine dancers on stage.
BC: Oh hello. Okay, this is the time now where we get to know your dancers. Tell us who you are and where you're from.
Girl #1: I'm Donna Snider from Cincinnati, Ohio. (crowd boos)
Iha: Cincinnati?
BC: Let me tell ya, I've been to Ohio, ain't a lot going on.
Iha: O-hi-who?
BC: But aren't we in the Kentucky-ana area? Who are you and where are you from?
Girl #2: I'm Ariel and I'm from Covington, (barely audible) Cincinnati.
BC: Covington, Cinciat--Cincinnati? (crowd boos)
Iha: Wow.
BC: Another Ohioan?
Iha: We got some ringers here.
BC: Something's wrong with our selection process, I believe.
Iha: Big hand if [unintelligible].
BC: Who are you and where are you from?
Girl #3: Chantel Rainick from Louisville, Kentucky.
Iha: Louisville, Louisville, Louisville, Louisville.
BC: This man right here, he's Southern and he's proud. Who are you and where are you from?
Guy #1: Alex Powell from Louisville, Kentucky!
(Alex moons the crowd)
Iha: Oh my god. OH MY GOD!
BC: I believe, I believe up north, that's what we call a good ol’ boy.
Iha: Maxin' and relaxin'.
BC: Okay, you're up here to dance.
Iha: Two rules.
BC: We have two rules.
Iha: Two.
BC: Don't touch us and don't touch our shit.
Iha: Alright. Now....
BC: Of course, you all symbolically will dance along.
Iha: We invite you to dance with us on stage in your mind. That's right, for any of you who have taken a college philosophy, you can do this.
1979 (with Jimmy Flemion)
Iha: Uh...we--we of Smashing Pumpkins have no liability in this. That was uh...quite a show you put on there. I was, I was shocked myself. I can only hope that the show can go on from this point and uh, we could be a little frivolous, taking upon this damage that we have wrought. Let's have a nice round of applause for our...outta control dancers.
One of the girl fans: Don't you think Billy should run for president? He's in the middle, he can play.
BC: I think you should run for cover.
Iha: [unintelligible noise]. Getting back to the rock show, we'll uh, we'll just forget this incident, just wipe it clean from the slate, we'll just continue on rocking for you people, you fine people of Louisville. (crowd goes crazy over something unknown) I’m shocked, I don't know what to say about that, the man from up there.
BC: Thank you very much for a nice show, had a good time. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Iha: Hey, give it up for the people to the left. Straight ahead, all the way way back. To the right, I give you the big wave. Thank you.

Silverfuck / Dose

and i hear your winter
and i hear your rain
and i failed your summer ways
and i feel no pain
i feel no pain
and i hear you fade away
and i hear you crawl
and i gave my life away
and i feel no pain
i feel no pain
i feel no pain
i feel no pain
she was my lover
she was my angel
what i recover
I put into a box underneath my bed
I put into a box underneath my bed
i screamed baby why?
baby why?
baby why?
ex why you?
and i said baby why must you make me cry?
baby why must you make me cry?
why must the little girls make the boys cry?
must be something in the water
baby my baby?
where are you now?
maybe my baby?
lost in the clouds
with barbed wired lips she breathed her last sigh
forget it and never lie
fucking whore
fucking whore
fucking whore
fucking whore
fucking whore
fucking whore
she was a fucking whore
yeah
go
no
so
we bear [unintelligible] a responsibility
over time and temple and our taste
so let it be known
that we haven't got a second to waste
graceful
good night
gesture just right
I think back to um
when I was 19 years old
and I was trying to escape from where I'm from, which is, that's chicago
trying to drive to florida
driving all night
high on pepsi and nodoz
awaken from a dream
to louisville lights and
tape towers and
rolling southern hills and
baptist bullshit
and the warm southern air
fresh and new and
full of blood and demons
debutantes
and white castles
and i remember thinking
if i only had time to stop in this place
and the great irony in which i find myself now
still alive
less naive
but eyes wide open
so you may ask yourself where this all particularly leads
and the fact of the matter is
is that it leads to particularly no where
we don't know where you're going
and we don't know where we're going
and we're going
hey whatever happened to denny crum

(BC at 22:10: So thank you very much, hope you’ve had a good time. You've been wonderful, great, patient, understanding, thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts. Take time to wave to the people who are in a hurry to get home, they have really important things to do, so say goodbye to them as they leave. They just can't wait to get home to their TVs and their sofas.)
(BC at 27:28: Thanks everybody.)
